Training Operations Manager (Req# Ops001)
Summary:
Aruba Networks is looking for a leader with a passion for technical training. This leader will be responsible for managing a small team to deliver and support all aspects of training operations for customer and partner-facing training programs, including technical instruction delivery, technical certification, logistics and course scheduling.
The Training Operations Manager has solid leadership abilities and excellent critical thinking skills. This individual has the ability to work in high-pressure environment and effectively present information to a variety of individuals (executive management and front-line employees). The candidate must be an experienced professional with a diverse skill set, and must have the ability to think strategically while executing tactically.
Key objectives include:
- Operational Excellence: Working with the Education Services (ES) team,
consistently review and analyze performance and quality/evaluation data
to identify process improvement opportunities, striving for incremental
improvements within the Operations and greater ES group. Solicit input
to generate new ideas for improving the organization.
- Partnering: Ensure that all training processes are aligned with Aruba
as a whole. Provide relevant, timely information to peers and management.
Maintains relationships outside the ES organization and find frequent
opportunities to share and learn best practices for training functions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure overall customer satisfaction through successful delivery of
Aruba´s training to customers and partners
- Manage international training partner program for customer training
- Manage partners for reseller training
- Oversee multi-tiered technical certification program
- Budgeting, schedule management
- Supervise the learning management system (LMS) function
- Develop and cultivate partnership with training partners and account
teams.
- Maintain accurate measurement and reporting of all assigned Training
metrics to establish accurate statistical baselines and to assist in
on-going analysis of education services.
- Perform periodic assessment of internal trainers, contractors and
training partners.
- Interact routinely with curriculum development team and ensure that
there is a systematic training process for product releases
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 5 years direct operational management experience in a high tech environment.
3-5 years managing training partners and program management
- Have the ability to coordinate/interact with multiple constituents
to effectively ensure the optimal delivery of training programs to customers
and partners. This would include building effective relationships with
internal leadership, departments and outside vendors/contractors.
- Excellent communication skills; strong analytical and oral communication
skills; excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Ability to implement improvements in processes.
- Strong organization and project management skills.
- Patient and persistent.
- Flexible when needed, yet able to stand your ground when important.
- Must be organized, able to act independently, have an eye for detail
and can put ideas into a tangible form.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and lead a team.
- Occasional travel required.
