ARUBA NETWORKS EXPANDS OPERATIONS IN ITALY WITH NEW OFFICE IN ROME
Growth In Italy Driven By Interest In Unified Mobility and Security Solutions
Sunnyvale, CA, July 14, 2008 - Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN), a global leader in wireless LANs and secure unified mobility solutions, today announced an expansion of its European operations with a new office in Rome dedicated to developing business throughout Italy. Aruba has been steadily expanding its operations throughout the EMEA region and now fields offices in the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and the Emirates.
"Italian organizations are seeking to enhance mobility, efficiency, and security in their business operations, and Aruba's wireless LAN infrastructure is well positioned to meet those demands," said Santo de Stefano, newly appointed country manager for Aruba Italy. "Working in conjunction with our channel partners, we have already achieved significant public sector and education wins, and now look to extend that success into the general Italian enterprise market."
Aruba's unified mobility solutions securely deliver wireless access to users by integrating adaptive wireless LANs, identity-based security, remote access, and vendor-neutral network management into a cohesive, high-performance system. Aruba's Adaptive Radio Management (ARM) technology automates common network set-up and maintenance tasks, and continuously optimizes network performance to support data, toll-quality voice, and streaming video applications. Aruba's Remote Access Point technology is a perfect solution for securely networking remote sites and traveling executives, and does away with the client management and administrative burdens typical of VPNs.
Aruba's products are sold in Italy through a two-tier channel structure, with ICOS providing value-added distribution services to authorized partners in Italy. "The Italian market presents Aruba with fresh growth opportunities for unified mobility solutions, and our successes to date in this region dictated a dedicated office to properly serve local customers," said Duncan Fisken, Aruba's vice president of EMEA operations. "Our new Rome office will enable us to stay abreast of regional requirements, deepen existing customer relationships, and expose a much broader audience to the benefits of Aruba's mobility solutions."
