ARUBA WIRELESS NETWORKS NAMED A TOP 10 STARTUP TO WATCH BY NETWORK WORLD MAGAZINE

SAN JOSE, CA - April 21, 2003 – Aruba Wireless Networks today was named one of ten “Startups to Watch” by Network World Magazine, one of the networking industry’s premiere publications published by the International Data Group.

The only wireless LAN switching vendor named, Aruba Wireless Networks was selected based on innovations made by the company in the area of new 802.11 switching technology.

“There’s no question that enterprises of all shapes and sizes have a clear need for wireless LAN switching as they look to scale and secure their wireless networks,” said Pankaj Manglik, president and CEO of Aruba Wireless Networks. “We’re privileged to have played a significant role in defining what we believe will be a hugely important class of products and technology that help enterprises address completely new networking needs from users that are now mobile.”

The 10 companies selected by Network World for their 2003 Start-ups to Watch Award cover a broad range of network technologies, from advanced security to wireless LAN switching. They have respected founders with solid footing in the network industry, confident financial backers, and, especially, innovative technology to solve pressing business needs. Their early adopters are excited about their potential for easing the building, managing and securing of enterprise networks.
