SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA — July 7, 2004 — Aruba Wireless Networks™ (Aruba) today announced that it has been named, for the second straight year, to the AlwaysOn AO100 list of top private companies of 2004.

The AO100 list showcases top innovative private companies demonstrating "market traction and the ability to disrupt existing markets." The AO 100 is selected by AlwaysOn editors with assistance from KPMG's emerging business practice, KPMG 1Start. The two groups surveyed more than 1,000 venture investors, investment bankers, top entrepreneurs and executives, who nominated more than 700 companies to determine the AO100 winners.

"Aruba is clearly breaking new ground in the area of centralized security for the enterprise wireless market which is why the company made the AO 100 for the second straight year," said Tony Perkins, AlwaysOn editor. "What we found so exciting is that centralized wireless security has profound ramifications to corporate networks everywhere that must now rethink conventional network security in the light of a highly mobile user base."

The premise of the AO100 list occurred from the demand by consumers and businesses requiring new technologies for greater access to the Web and applications that provide more convenience and productivity. This increased demand is creating new opportunities for innovative new companies that are well positioned to bring about a change in the market.

"AlwaysOn's AO100 has quickly become one of the most prestigious lists for private companies everywhere," said Keerti Melkote, co-founder and vice president of Marketing at Aruba Wireless Networks. "Aruba is honored to be recognized for the pioneering efforts in the area of wireless LAN switching and centralized security, both of which are changing the face of network computing."
