LONDON, ENGLAND, June 27, 2005 - Aruba Networks announced today that it was named "Wireless Security Product of the Year" by IDG, the world's leading publisher of computer magazines and newspapers, in their recently announced 2005 Techworld Network Awards, presented in London, UK.

The Aruba 6000 mobility controller system beat out other top wireless security products, from both incumbent and start-up vendors, to claim this coveted honor.

Aruba distinguished itself with the only wireless LAN (WLAN) system that integrates RF security, centralized encryption, VPN termination, on-demand client security and a stateful policy enforcement firewall within a single product. This level of security, unprecedented in the industry, enables corporations to easily migrate from fixed wired networks to large-scale mobile environments able to provide unique services and security to users as they move.

The Techworld Network Award is the 20th industry distinction given to Aruba's mobility system since first shipping product two years ago, clearly establishing the company as the global leader in the field of mobile enterprise infrastructure.

"The Network Awards recognize the very best in every field of the industry and reward companies and individuals for innovative and effective use of networking and telecommunications technology," said Mark Lloyd, event director for IDG's Network Awards.

"Our independent panel of judges was extremely pleased with the quality of projects, products, teams and individuals that took part in the awards this year. In the wireless security product category, the Aruba 6000 stood out because it integrates the most comprehensive set of security capabilities that help companies provide secure mobility services to users wherever they go," said Lloyd.

The Network Award judges include professionals from industry associations, consultancies, corporate user organizations, and key editors from TechWorld.com and from supporting media. They evaluated products based upon numerous criteria including functionality, features, innovation, performance, configuration, resiliency, ease of use, price, fitness for purpose, and market position.
