Aruba Networks Positioned In "Leader" Quadrant In New Report On Wireless LAN Infrastructure

Third Consecutive Year being Named a Top Innovator

Sunnyvale, CA - July 18, 2005 - Aruba Networks, a leading provider of enterprise infrastructure for secure mobility, has been positioned in the "Leaders" quadrant of Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Wireless LAN Infrastructure, 2005: Leaders and Challengers report.

"Being recognized in the leader quadrant by Gartner is truly gratifying," said Don LeBeau, president and CEO of Aruba Networks. "According to Gartner, a leader is defined not only by its vision but by the ability to execute on that vision. We believe Aruba's vision to enable user mobility across the enterprise is driven by a fast growing base of customers who understand the profound impact mobility has on their business."

Aruba is adding over 100 customers per quarter and is experiencing triple-digit annual growth rates. The company currently ships over 7,000 access points and hundreds of mobility systems each month to enterprise customers around the world. Aruba has amassed over 750 enterprise customers since shipping its first product in July of 2003.

According to Gartner, "leaders" are currently doing well in the marketplace, have great prospects for the future and perform well on Gartner's selection criteria. Leaders have robust WLAN capabilities, including WLAN security and management features. In analyzing 17 companies for the report,

Gartner positioned them according to general categories of "completeness of vision" and "ability to execute." Based on a wide range of criteria, vendors are evaluated on:

  • A centralized WLAN product offering
