ARUBA NETWORKS NAMED "NETWORKING PRODUCT OF THE YEAR" IN THE CNET NETWORKS UK TECHNOLOGY AWARDS FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW

Aruba 200 Mobility Controller Called "Critical Path Technology for the Next Generation of Enterprise Mobility Services"

SUNNYVALE, Calif., October 4, 2006 - Aruba Networks, the Mobile Edge Company, today announced that it was awarded "Networking Product of the Year" at the CNET Networks UK Technology Awards presented last week in London. This is the second consecutive year that Aruba has received this honor.

In regards to the Aruba 200 mobility controller, the judges commented, "Aruba is critical path technology for the next generation of enterprise mobility services to work. Just because it's possible to have voice over wireless, full inter-access point roaming, centralized authentication and encryption, and VPNs, doesn't mean it's easy. For wireless to take the next step as an essential enabler for new ideas, all this needs to be in place - and in one place. Aruba makes it so."

The CNET Networks UK Technology Awards recognize the organizations and individuals who are making a real contribution to the UK technology sector. Other finalists in the Networking Product of the Year category included EqualLogic, Juniper Networks, XenSource, Inc., and Zeus Technology.

The judges are looking for those who deliver the products or projects that make best use of information and communication technology to help businesses succeed. Judging of the CNET Networks UK Technology Awards is extremely thorough and is carried out over several months. The Judges Council comprises senior practitioners and experts from the industry and media.

"This award recognizes not only Aruba, but the growing importance of mobility in the enterprise. Increasingly, our customers want more than just the convenience of a wireless LAN; they need to increase productivity and enable new applications only possible with advanced mobility, all while maintaining critical security and centralized management control," said Keerti Melkote, Aruba Networks' founder. "We are truly honored to again receive this recognition from CNET Networks UK and their distinguished Judges Council."

The Aruba 200 mobility controller aggregates up to six controlled access points (APs) and delivers integrated mobility, centralized control, convergence services and security for wireless deployments. It is designed for branch office, retail store and business applications and can be easily deployed as an overlay without any disruption to the existing network and centrally managed from the corporate headquarters, In addition, it can be deployed as an identity-based security gateway to authenticate wired and wireless users, enforce role-based access control policies and quarantine unsafe endpoints from accessing the corporate network.
