ARUBA NETWORKS ADDS THREE MEMBERS TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Industry Veterans To Help Guide Company's Strategy, Growth and Product Roadmap

SUNNYVALE, Calif., December 11, 2006 - Aruba Networks, the Mobile Edge Company, today announced that it has added three industry veterans to its board of directors. The new directors are:

  • Dan Warmenhoven, chief executive officer of Network Appliance, Inc.
  • Bernard Guidon, industry consultant and 25-year veteran of Hewlett-Packard Co.
  • Emmanuel T. Hernandez, chief financial officer at SunPower Corporation

Dan Warmenhoven is the chief executive officer of Network Appliance, Inc., a leader in enterprise data management and open networked storage solutions. He joined NetApp in October 1994 and led the company's initial public offering in November 1995. Today, NetApp is a multi-billion dollar company with more than 5,000 employees worldwide. Mr. Warmenhoven won the prestigious National Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2004 and was named by Business Week as one of its Top 25 Managers in 2001. Prior to NetApp, Mr. Warmenhoven served as chairman, president, and CEO of Network Equipment Technologies (N.E.T.), a telecommunications manufacturer. He is a veteran of Hewlett-Packard Co. (HP), where he held senior management positions including general manager of the information networks group, and a 13-year veteran of IBM Corporation. Mr. Warmenhover holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, with honors, from Princeton University.

Bernard Guidon worked for Hewlett-Packard Co. in various executive and management positions for more than 25 years. At HP, Mr. Guidon was responsible for the HP Unix product lines, including the market-leading line of HP servers and workstations, building it into a multi-billion dollar product line and establishing HP as the number one Unix supplier in the world. In building this business, Mr. Guidon defined the strategy and led engineering, marketing, finance, manufacturing, sales, distribution channels, external partnerships and acquisitions worldwide. Mr. Guidon also served as vice president and general manager of the $1.5 billion HP professional services organization, which employed over 6,000 people worldwide, and separately as vice president and general manager of HP's telecommunications business unit. Mr. Guidon is currently a business strategy and marketing consultant to several global high tech companies. Mr. Guidon is a resident and native of France, and holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toulouse in Europe.

Emmanuel T. Hernandez is chief financial officer for SunPower Corporation, manufacturer of the world's highest efficiency, commercially available solar cells and solar panels. Previously, Mr. Hernandez served more than eleven years as executive vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer at Cypress Semiconductor Corporation, where he was instrumental in solidifying relations with the investment community and maintaining Cypress' strong financial position. Mr. Hernandez holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Nueva Caceres in the Philippines, received his CPA license from the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants and earned a Master's Degree in Finance from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He currently serves as a board member of ON Semiconductor and Integration Associates.
