Aruba Networks Selected for Dense Campus-Wide Deployment at Southern New Hampshire University
December 19, 2006 – Aruba Networks, the Mobile Edge Company, today announced that Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), a private, coeducational institution located in Manchester, has selected the Aruba Mobile Edge Architecture for a dense campus-wide wireless deployment. The mobile network currently consists of an Aruba 6000 mobility controller and 128 Aruba AP-61 access points (APs), and fulfills SNHU’s mandate to provide network access to every seat in every classroom across campus. Wireless access is also available in the student center, cafeteria, lounge and bookstore. In total, the network now delivers mobile wireless to 2,000 undergraduate day students and over 1,000 additional graduate/evening students from more than 23 states and more than 35 different countries. University of Washington Deploys Massive Aruba WLAN for Campus-wide Mobile Networking
October 30, 2006 – Aruba Networks, the Mobile Edge company, today announced that the University of Washington—one of the oldest state-supported institutions of higher education on the Pacific coast—has completed the first phase of its three-year project to deploy ubiquitous mobile access across its Seattle campus. To date, the university has deployed fourteen Aruba 6000 mobility controllers and over 2,000 Aruba AP-70 access points (APs). Emory University Selects Aruba for Campus Mobility
October 23, 2006 – Aruba Networks, the Mobile Edge Company, today announced that Emory University, recently ranked 18th among 248 universities in U.S. News and World Report’s annual college quality rankings, has completed the first phase of its Aruba Networks wireless LAN (WLAN) rollout, with 1,370 Access Points (APs) and 20 mobility controllers deployed across the university’s buildings, residential houses and hospitals. By the end of the calendar year, Emory plans to implement Voice over WLAN (VoWLAN) in several portions of the network. Brandeis University Completes Deployment of Secure Mobile Edge Network with Aruba Networks
October 16, 2006 – Aruba Networks, the Mobile Edge company, today announced that Brandeis University has successfully completed the installation of an Aruba network that provides students with secure mobility and ubiquitous wireless access from anywhere on its 235-acre campus and from remote residential locations. Brandeis has deployed 820 Aruba AP-70 access points (APs) and six Aruba 6000 mobility controllers to cover 110 buildings on campus. Aruba Networks Installs World’s Largest Wireless LAN at Ohio State University
October 9, 2006 – Aruba Networks, the Mobile Edge company, today announced it has deployed its Mobile Edge solution at The Ohio State University in what is believed to be the world’s largest wireless LAN to date. When the rollout is complete, the Aruba wireless network will cover Ohio State University’s main campus-which comprises over 400 buildings and 25 million square feet, sitting on approximately 1,700 acres. The Aruba network will provide ubiquitous wireless access to the university’s student population of over 50,000, in addition to over 27,000 faculty and staff.
