Aruba 600 Controller Series
Specifications »The Aruba 600 Controller series for branch offices are compact, cost-effective all-in-one networking solutions that include the Aruba 620, Aruba 650 and Aruba 651.
The Aruba 600 series is an integral part of the Aruba distributed enterprise network, which uses central controllers in the data center to manage complex and processing-intensive management and security functions.
With Aruba, wireless LAN services are virtualized and implemented in cost-effective edge devices, which move user traffic to data center controllers through secure IP tunnels over a public or private transport network.
Aruba 600 controllers provide local wireless services when used in conjunction with any Aruba access point (AP), or they can operate as wired-only devices. They also feature print server and network-attached storage capabilities for local network printing and mass storage.
The Aruba 620 branch office controller includes a firewall, wireless LAN controller, 9-port Ethernet switch with PoE+, IP router, site-to-site VPN edge device, file server and print server in an attractive desktop-mount enclosure.
The Aruba 650 and 651 branch office controllers include a firewall, wireless LAN controller, 8-port Ethernet switch with PoE+, IP router, site-to-site VPN edge device, file server and print server in an attractive desktop-mount enclosure. The 651 also includes an integrated single-radio, dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n wireless AP.
Aruba's centralized configuration and management model enables the 600 series to be deployed, monitored and controlled without any local IT staff. Deployment options include zero-touch remote management or local configuration via a web interface.
Running the ArubaOS operating system, the Aruba 600 Controller series for branch offices comes standard with advanced authentication, encryption, wireless radio management, and Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking features. Optional ArubaOS software modules deliver additional functionality, including spectrum analysis, Policy Enforcement Firewall (PEF), VPN server, remote access gateway and Wireless Intrusion Protection.
