Aruba Mobility Controllers include hardware-accelerated VPN concentrator functionality that integrates remote users into Aruba's role-based security framework. The result is a single point of policy management for users anywhere on the network – campus, branch office, or on the road.
- The Aruba Virtual Intranet Agent (VIA) is an IPsec and SSL VPN client for Windows® platforms, included with Aruba Mobility Controllers at no additional cost. VIA is designed for simplicity, with administrator-defined policy configuration, single sign-on support, automatic network type detection, and automatic fallback from IPsec to SSL. To provide a simple, consistent, and secure user experience, VIA can be configured to run in the background and automatically establish a VPN session any time the workstation is outside of a secure corporate network.
- Aruba Mobility Controllers can also interoperate with many existing IPSec VPN clients, including those included with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X, and a number of commercial 3rd-party VPN clients.
