T.C. Pharmaceuticals embarks on digital workplace transformation with Aruba
Empowering a Smart, Connected Workplace
In just the last two years, our employees have moved on from personal computers to adopt a multitude of smart devices like smartphones and tablets for work, which has increased the need for seamless connectivity across our offices and factories.Withit Wiwat, Division Director of Information Technology at TCP
More than 70 percent of Bangkok's population use smartphones. According to a global study by Aruba, 93 percent of the respondents thought that their workplace would be improved through greater use of technology, while 64 percent said their company will fall behind the competition if new technology isn't implemented.
This trend is in line with what Withit Wiwat, Division Director of Information Technology at TCP, is observing his workplace: "In just the last two years, our employees have moved on from personal computers to adopt a multitude of smart devices like smartphones and tablets for work, which has increased the need for seamless connectivity across our offices and factories.".
Seamless Experience and Unique Expertise
TCP found Aruba's diverse range of enhanced network management software, wireless access points and switches in line with TCP's technical requirements. They were also impressed that Aruba came with much experience in smart digital workplace transformation projects.
Improved Satisfaction and Productivity
TCP also deployed Aruba's VPN, which allows employees to access the company's network anytime anywhere using any connected device. This helps to improve employee satisfaction, work experience and productivity.
To overcome security concerns, Aruba's VPN can differentiate between company and personal devices and will prompt new devices to connect via a public Wi-Fi.
Tangible Outcomes
Just six months after deploying the Aruba solution, Withit's team has noticed that employee complaints regarding connectivity and network performance have reduced drastically.
The IT team also found that they were able to better plan resources and reduce network maintenance cost significantly.
Well-primed for a Smarter Future
Withit said: "We are grateful to be working in partnership with Aruba on this exciting journey as we are confident that they will be able to deliver and value-add to our business."
TCP plans to shift their focus towards the next project in the company's digital transformation roadmap – putting in place a smart manufacturing environment. This includes introducing Aruba connectivity and network innovation to the TCP factory floor.
