ip dhcp excluded-address

ip dhcp excluded-address <low-address> [<high-address>]

Description

This command configures an excluded address range for the DHCPDynamic Host Configuration Protocol. A network protocol that enables a server to automatically assign an IP address to an IP-enabled device from a defined range of numbers configured for a given network.  server on Mobility Master.

Syntax

Parameter

Description

<low-address>

Low range excluded IP addresses. For example, you can enter the IP address of the Mobility Master so that this address is not assigned.

<high-address>

High range excluded IP addresses.

Usage Guidelines

Use this command to specifically exclude certain addresses from being assigned by the DHCPDynamic Host Configuration Protocol. A network protocol that enables a server to automatically assign an IP address to an IP-enabled device from a defined range of numbers configured for a given network.  server. Ensure that the statically assigned IP addresses are excluded.

Example

The following command configures an excluded address range:

(host) [mynode] (config) #ip dhcp excluded-address 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.255
