If your deployment includes Mobility Master and managed devices, then the remote APRemote APs extend corporate network to the users working from home or at temporary work sites. Remote APs are deplyed at branch office sites and are connected to the central network on a WAN link. whitelist on each managed device contains an entry for every remote APRemote APs extend corporate network to the users working from home or at temporary work sites. If you ever remove a managed device from the network, you must also remove the managed device from the local switch whitelist. If the local switch whitelist contains entries for managed devices no longer on the network, then a remote APRemote APs extend corporate network to the users working from home or at temporary work sites. Remote APs are deplyed at branch office sites and are connected to the central network on a WAN link. whitelist entry can be marked for deletion but will not be physically deleted, as the managed device will be waiting for an acknowledgment from another managed device no longer on the network. Any unused managed device entries in the local switch whitelist can significantly increase network traffic and reduce memory resources.

Example

The following command removes a managed device from the local switch whitelist table:

(host)[node] (config) #whitelist-db rap-local-switch-list del mac-address 00:16:CF:AF:3E:E1
