In Policy Manager 6.7.x and earlier releases, the Web-Based Open Network Access service type required an authentication source, preventing its usage for authorize-only flows, such as server-initiated login with SAML Security Assertion Markup Language. SAML is an XML-based framework for communicating user authentication, entitlement, and attribute information. SAML enables single sign-on by allowing users to authenticate at an identity provider and then access service providers without additional authentication.. An authentication source is no longer required to use this service type in Policy Manager 6.10. |
