Release Type Identifier

Release type identifiers are displayed along with the software version information. These tags indicate the maintenance period of the software version. There are two types of releases:

• LSR - Long supported release. Long supported releases extend support for patches up to 5 years.

• SSR - Short supported release. Short supported releases extend support for up to 2 years.

This information is displayed alongside the version number of the software and can be viewed in the Instant webUI and the CLI Command-Line Interface. A console interface with a command line shell that allows users to execute text input as commands and convert these commands to appropriate functions..
