Business Intent Overlay (BIO) Configuration
The Business Intent Overlay (BIO) directs the traffic using specific guidelines and settings. The following procedure demonstrates how to configure interfaces, policies, SLAs based on the best practices.
Step 1 Click Configuration, then select Business Intent Overlay.
Step 2 Click the Real Time Overlay.
Step 3 With the SDWAN Traffic to internal Subnets tab selected drag the INET2, MPLS2 and LTE interfaces to Available interfaces box.
Step 4 Set The INET1 interface to Group 1.
Step 5 Configure the Service Level Objectives with the following settings:
- Loss: 10
- Latency: 250
- Jitter: 50
Step 6 Select the Breakout Traffic to internet & Cloud Services tab.
Step 7 Drag the INET2 and LTE interfaces to Available interfaces box.
Step 8 Click Ok.
Note: The group ID determines what interfaces will build tunnels to each other, ensure interfaces have the same ID.
Step 9 Click the Critical Apps BIO.
Step 10 With the SDWAN Traffic to internal Subnets tab selected drag the INET2, MPLS2 and LTE interfaces to Available interfaces box.
Step 11 Set The INET1 interface to Group 1.
Step 12 Configure the Service Level Objectives with the following settings:
- Loss: 10
- Latency: 500
- Jitter: 50
Step 13 Click the Breakout Traffic to internet & Cloud Services tab.
Step 14 Drag the INET2 and LTE interfaces to Available interfaces box.
Step 15 Click Ok.
Step 16 Repeat Steps 10-15 for the Bulk Apps BIO.
Step 17 Click the Default Overlay BIO.
Step 18 With the SDWAN Traffic to internal Subnets tab selected drag the INET2, MPLS2 and LTE interfaces to Available interfaces box.
Step 19 Set The INET1 interface to Group 1.
Step 20 Configure the Service Level Objectives with the following settings:
- Loss: 10
- Latency: 500
- Jitter: 50
Step 21 Click the Breakout Traffic to internet & Cloud Services tab.
Step 22 (Optional) Drag the E_SASE_PROVIDER to the first position on the Preferred breakout traffic order.
Step 23 Drag the INET2 and LTE interfaces to Available interfaces box.
Step 24 Click Ok.
Step 25 Click Save and Apply changes to Overlays.
Step 26 Click Save.
