Geographically Dispersed Deployment

Geographically dispersed deployments within a city, region, or country, or across continents, can use either a Multi-Fabric or Multi-Site design to provide end-to-end connectivity with consistent segmentation and policies regardless of the client’s physical location within the enterprise.

The Aruba Central NetConductor solution provides multiple design options to interconnect sites:

  • Multi-Fabric Design enables interconnection of sites within a city, region, or country where the sites are connected via Metro Ethernet or Dark Fiber.

In this design, multiple fabrics are deployed independently and interconnected with an end-to-end BGP EVPN VXLAN solution.

  • Multi-Site Design allows integration with Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN, Aruba EdgeConnect SD-Branch solution or third-party SD-WAN to interconnect sites globally, across country or continents.

In this design, Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN or Aruba EdgeConnect SD-Branch integrates with fabrics deployed at each site to learn the segmentation information (VRFs and/or User Roles) and carry it in natively in the SD-WAN (IPSEC) transport without any MTU or fragmentation concerns.

Aruba SD-WAN solutions provide deployments with secure connectivity architecture across locations and to data centers cloud, and SaaS with unified SD-WAN fabric and provide Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) for enterprise networks.

Deployments can combine Multi-Fabric and Multi-Site designs to deliver consistent user experience and end-to-end security throughout the enterprise.
