Icons and Diagram Elements

Whether communicating topological information, interaction between components, or, more generally, a design, iconography is a key component. Aruba provides these elements for use in technical papers, posters, presentations, and any other materials. Contained within the assets are four key categories of icons:

  • Devices - These are network infrastructure devices that are primarily used in physical topologies but can also be used in logical diagrams.
  • Clients - These are endpoints that join the network such as workstations, laptops, surveillance cameras, and building management systems.
  • Functions - These are most often a software element used primarily as a logical element such as Central APIs, Fabric Composer, and Central Network Management. These elements are often used with a physical element depicting where the function is hosted.
  • Generic - These are generic elements that are often used within network diagrams such as clouds, firewalls, and servers.
