Configuring Static Routing

To configure static routing on a Microbranch AP group, complete the following steps:

1. In the Aruba Central app, set the filter to a Microbranch group that contains at least one AP.

   The dashboard context for a group is displayed.

2. Under Manage, click Devices > Access Points.
3. Click the Config icon.

   The Microbranch group configuration page is displayed.

4. Click Tunnels & Routing > Static Routing.

   The Static Routing page is displayed.

5. To add a static route entry, click the + icon in the Static Routes table.
6. Enter the destination IP address in the Destination IP Address field.
7. Enter the subnet Subnet is the logical division of an IP network. mask in the Destination Mask field.
8. Select a next hop option from Next Hop drop-down list.
   • If Cluster Name is selected:
     1. Select a cluster group from Cluster drop-down list.
     2. Enter the cost value in Cost field. By default, the value is 15.
   • If IPsec Internet Protocol security. IPsec is a protocol suite for secure IP communications that authenticates and encrypts each IP packet in a communication session. Map name is selected:
     1. Select a cluster group from Cluster drop-down list.
     2. Select corresponding VPNC devices from VPNC drop-down list.
     3. Select a uplink from Uplink tag drop-down list.
     4. Enter the cost value in Cost field. By default, the value is 15.

   Disable the overlay orchestration on the Microbranch group to apply the Next Hop of Cluster Name and IPsec Map for static routing. For more information on configuring Cluster and VPNCs, refer Configure Data Center VPNCs.

   • If Native is selected:
     1. Enter an IP address in the IP Address field.
     2. Enter the cost value in the Cost field. By default, the value is 15.
9. Click the + icon in the Default Gateways table.

   The ADD DEFAULT GATEWAY pop-up window appears.

   The Default Gateways table is available only for device-level configuration.

10. Enter the IP address in the default gateway text box and click SAVE.

    The default gateway is added.

A maximum of 32 route entries can be added.
