Creating IP-SLA Profiles
To create and configure IP-SLA profiles, complete the following steps:
- In the WebUI, set the filter to a group that contains at least one Branch Gateway.
The dashboard context for a group is displayed.
- Under
A list of gateways is displayed in the
view.
, click > . - Click a gateway under
The gateway device dashboard is displayed.
. - Under
The gateway configuration page is displayed.
, click . - If you are in the , click to access the advanced configuration options.
- Click WAN Wide Area Network. WAN is a telecommunications network or computer network that extends over a large geographical distance. > Health Check.
- Click IP-SLA Profiles.
- Click + in the IP-SLA Profiles table to configure the following parameters:
Enter the
.Select a probe destination from the Probe Destination drop-down list.
If you select Manual, you must select Type from the drop-down, and then manually key in the Destination field.
HPE Aruba Networking recommends AOS-10.4 or later to configure IP-SLA with manual probe destination.
Select one of the following probe mode from the Mode drop-down list:
- Liveness—Select this option to enable uplink health-check ip probe for each next hop.
This option is available only for IP and DHCP Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. A network protocol that enables a server to automatically assign an IP address to an IP-enabled device from a defined range of numbers configured for a given network. VLAN Virtual Local Area Network. - Enter the threshold Delay time in milliseconds to measure the round-trip ping time.
- Enter the percentage of Packet Loss that is allowed for the selected traffic type.
- Liveness—Select this option to enable uplink health-check ip probe for each next hop.
- Click Save Settings.
