Viewing the Overlay Fabric

To view the newly created overlay fabric or view an existing fabric, complete the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central app, complete the following steps:
    • To select a group in the filter:
      1. Set the filter to a group.

        The dashboard context for the group is displayed.

      2. Under Manage, click Devices > Switches.
      3. To view the AOS-CX Switch configuration dashboard, click the AOS-CX or Config icon.
  2. Click Routing > Fabrics.
  3. In the overlay segment row, click the arrow icon to expand the fabric.

  4. View the overlay segment.

    The following table describes the columns in the Fabrics table.

    Overlay Network

    List of overlay networks.

    VLAN Name

    The VLAN Virtual Local Area Network. In computer networking, a single Layer 2 network may be partitioned to create multiple distinct broadcast domains, which are mutually isolated so that packets can only pass between them through one or more routers; such a domain is referred to as a Virtual Local Area Network, Virtual LAN, or VLAN. name.

    VLAN ID

    The VLAN ID number.

    IP Version

    The IP version.

    • IPv4

    • IPv6

    • Dual Stack

    Default Gateway IP

    The default Gateway IP for the overlay network.

    Subnet Mask

    The subnet Subnet is the logical division of an IP network. mask for the IP address.

    DHCP Server VRF

    The default DHCP Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. A network protocol that enables a server to automatically assign an IP address to an IP-enabled device from a defined range of numbers configured for a given network.  server VRF Virtual Routing and Forwarding. VRF is a technology that allows multiple instances of a routing table to co-exist within the same router. value or you can add manually.

    Note: You can manually add multiple DHCP server relays.

    DHCP Server

    The IP address of the DHCP relay server.

    Roles

    The number of roles assigned to this network.

    NOTE: When you delete a role in the Clients Role page. The number of updated role is not reflected in this column, unless you edit the overlay segment.

    Devices The number of devices assigned to this network.
