Enabling Channel Quality Metric
The channel quality metric reflects the AirMatch channel computation enhancements for local channel change decisions. The AirMatch channel quality metrics include, high retry-rate, non-Wi-Fi Wi-Fi is a technology that allows electronic devices to connect to a WLAN network, mainly using the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radio bands. Wi-Fi can apply to products that use any 802.11 standard. interference, MAC Media Access Control. A MAC address is a unique identifier assigned to network interfaces for communications on a network. , and PHY errors. When AirMatch receives data that impact the channels, it avoids the impacted channels in the channel computation for the next 24 hours. By default, AirMatch disables the channel quality metric.
To enable the channel quality metric, complete the following procedure:
- In the HPE Aruba Networking Central app, set the filter to a group with Wi-Fi 6E access point.
