Wireless gateway deployments do not require any SD-Branch licenses. However, if a gateway has an SD-Branch license, the gateway can still perform wireless management.

The Foundation and Advanced Licenses for APs, switches, WLAN gateways, and SD-Branch gateways are different and cannot be used interchangeably.
