Switching Over the Conductor Role
In AOS-CX switch stacks, you can manually switchover the conductor role to the standby conductor switch. This can be done in the event of hardware failure or if you want to assign any specific SKU Stock Keeping Unit. SKU refers to the product and service identification code for the products in the inventory. as the conductor.
To switchover the conductor role to the standby switch, complete the following steps:
- In the app Short form for application. It generally refers to the application that is downloaded and used on mobile devices. , set the filter to one of the options under , , or . Ensure that the filter selection contains at least one switch. For all devices, set the filter to .
The dashboard context for the selected filter is displayed.

A list of switches is displayed in the
view.
, click > . - Click to display a table with the list of online switches.
- In the Switches table, click on the conductor switch.
The Switch Details page corresponding to the stack that the conductor switch belongs to is displayed.

The standby conductor becomes the conductor of the stack. The conductor switch goes for a reboot and join the stack as a member.
