Installing Service Pack

Admins must prepare all the Aruba Central On-Premises nodes to upgrade with HPE release Service Pack. The Service pack consists of a number of firmwares and other associated drivers of different components such as Power Controller, NIC , ILO5, RAID A redundant array of inexpensive disks or redundant array of independent disks (RAID) is a data storage virtualization technology combining multiple drive components into one or multiple logical units for performance improvement, data redundancy, improvement, or both.  , BIOS Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) program is used by a computer's microprocessor to start the system when powered on. It also manages the data flow between the operating system and other attached devices, for example, keyboard, hard disk, mouse, video adapter, etc. , and so on. This Service pack fixes any kind of known vulnerabilities and provides security updates for the drivers along with additional features.

At present, out-of-the-box Aruba Central On-Premises appliance are 2.5.7 or lower version and hence, has a lower ILO version and firmware version. For proper functioning of the Aruba Central On-Premises nodes, It is recommended by HPE to keep ILO to the latest Service Pack as it improves reliability and performance of the servers.
