Third-Party Devices
Aruba Central On-Premises supports adding and monitoring third-party devices.
Aruba Central On-Premises currently supports the following third-party devices:
-
Cisco Catalyst 9200 series switches
-
Cisco Catalyst 9300 series switches
To onboard third-party switches in HPE GreenLake Account Home, follow this workflow:
-
Add Subscriptions.
-
Add an SNMP profile.
-
Create a .csv file and onboard the third-party devices.
-
Filter the onboarded third-party devices.
The onboarding of Cisco switches may take up to 15 minutes.
Adding Subscriptions
A new subscription key is supported for third-party devices with Device Type, NW_Third_Party and Tier, Foundation-NW-Third-Party.
To add subscriptions, see Managing Device Subscriptions.
Adding an SNMP Profile
You can use auto-provisioning to add and manage various SNMP profiles. These pre-defined profiles and keys make it easier to manage device onboarding during the device discovery process. The SNMP profile created must be added in the CSV file, that is used to onboard devices.
To add an SNMP profile, see Manage Device Profiles .
Creating CSV File and Onboarding Third-Party Devices
To onboard third-party devices by uploading a CSV file in the Device Inventory, see Creating CSV File to Onboard Third-Party Devices.
The CSV file is uploaded, and the devices are added to the Device Inventory.
Filtering Third-Party Devices
To search and list the third-party devices that are onboarded, see Filtering Third-Party Devices.
