Change the SSH Shell Admin and Root Passwords

NOTE: You do not need to change the admin and root passwords if you deployed Orchestrator in the cloud.

  1. Open a CLI session to Orchestrator using the hypervisor console or by creating an SSH shell.

The default admin user name is admin.

The default admin password is admin.

  2. Orchestrator prompts you to change the admin password and the root password. Follow the CLI screen prompts to change the passwords.

NOTE: In Orchestrator versions earlier than 8.6.x, the user name and password for both Orchestrator HTTP access and SSH access are the same. For Orchestrator 8.6.x and later, the user name and password for Orchestrator HTTP access and SSH access are different and not in sync.
