Set up HPE GreenLake Cloud Platform

The HPE GreenLake platform is a portfolio of scalable cloud-native and as-a-service solutions for addressing complex networks. It orchestrates and manages network, computing, storage, and supporting services, and unifies security, visibility, and management. AI-powered insights, workflow automation, and edge-to-cloud security provide a single source control across campus, data center, branch, and IoT networks.

Network devices managed by HPE Aruba Networking Central are maintained and licensed in the HPE GreenLake inventory. You can add EdgeConnect gateways to the HPE GreenLake platform when you first purchase HPE Aruba Networking Central, or you can add gateways to an existing HPE GreenLake account that already has a deployed HPE Aruba Networking Central instance. In both cases, the HPE GreenLake platform is required as it is part of the process for onboarding the EdgeConnect gateways.

The following sections describe the process of setting up HPE GreenLake for a Unified Fabric solution, including provisioning devices and applying device licenses. If you already have an HPE Aruba Networking Central instance, go to Apply Subscription License to the EdgeConnect Gateways.

NOTE: A valid HPE GreenLake account is required.

The steps outlined in this guide do not include instructions for adding and onboarding SD-Branches or Microbranches, as those instructions are already documented in other guides. The instructions in this guide are derived from other HPE Aruba Networking documentation, including HPE Aruba Networking Validated Solution Guides, which can be found in Related Documents.
