How To and Technical Videos

This page contains links to videos that provide a technical overview or demonstrate how to use specific features in the Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN Edge Platform.

How To

  • Service Orchestration: The Service Orchestration feature allows you to automate the integration of third-party service providers without an API. This video demonstrates how to use the Service Orchestration feature to integrate with Netskope.

  • SD-WAN Case Opening Guidelines: When opening a case with our TAC team, it’s often helpful to send in diagnostic data at the same time. Whether you have a how-to question, performance issue, or appliance failure, a system dump contains most of the commonly needed data and logs that the support team needs to assist you. This video talks about the common types of cases and the data needed for each.

  • EdgeConnect Upgrades Summary: This video covers key points to know before upgrading Aruba EdgeConnect, where to find the release notes, disaster recovery, a brief note on downgrades, and a demo of the upgrade process in full. This video is applicable to ECOS 8.x and later.

  • Orchestrator Upgrades Summary: This video walks through the process of upgrading an on-prem Aruba Orchestrator. It includes important things to know before beginning the upgrade process, how and where to download the software image, the upgrade documentation, disaster recovery mitigation, and a demo of the upgrade process in full. This video is applicable to Orchestrator 8.2 and later.

  • Why High Throughput Link Bonding Policy Could Cause Performance Degredation: Business Intent Overlays (BIOs) allow multiple WAN links to be bonded together and used in different ways. This video examines the different modes available and the impact WAN link characteristics can have on the resulting performance, and also includes a demo of how High Quality and High Throughput perform in different environments.

  • How to Expand Disk Capacity on an ESXi On-Prem Orchestrator Using the GParted Utility: This video walks through the process of expanding the /home partition on an on-prem Orchestrator, including how to use the vSphere web client (though the process is similar for other ESXi versions and hypervisor platforms as well). This video is applicable to any version of Orchestrator deployed on a hypervisor.

Troubleshooting

  • Troubleshooting Tunnel Down, Part 1: IPSec UDP: This video talks about and troubleshoots some IPSec UDP tunnel down situations. It lists common reasons tunnels might go down, defines the troubleshooting scope, and examines tools such as the Topology page, Live View, and Alarms, before doing some live troubleshooting at the end. This video is applicable to ECOS 8.1.6 and later and Orchestrator 8.2 and later.

  • Troubleshooting Tunnel Down, Part 2: Passthrough: This video talks about and troubleshoots some passthrough tunnel down situations, such as those used for internet breakout. (Third-party IPSec tunnel services will be covered in another video.) It lists common reasons tunnels might go down, defines the troubleshooting scope, and discusses how passthrough tunnels provide internet access, before doing some live troubleshooting at the end. This video is applicable to ECOS 8.1.4 and later and Orchestrator 8.4 and later.

  • Troubleshooting Tunnel Down, Part 3: Zscaler: This video talks about and troubleshoots some Zscaler tunnel down situations. It lists common reasons tunnels might go down, talks about how to define the troubleshooting scope, and reviews some of the most commonly seen cases from the field. This video is applicable to ECOS 8.1.9 and later and Orchestrator 8.6 and later.
